My phone doesn't connect to hearTV Wi-Fi.
When a hearTV device is new or has been reset to factory settings, it will be in Setup mode, creating a Wi-Fi network. Follow the steps below if you're unable to connect to the hearTV setup Wi-Fi.
Before proceeding, ensure that your hearTV unit has been plugged in to power for about a minute to allow it to fully start up. When fully started up, the lights should look like the image shown here.
Open your phone's Wi-Fi settings. Is the hearTV Wi-Fi in the list of Wi-Fi networks?
(Unless you have already changed its name, the Wi-Fi will be called hearTV-xxxx, matching the name printed on the bottom of the transmitter.)
Unplug power from the hearTV device and plug it back in. Wait for the green light inside the hole on the top of the transmitter to begin flashing (as shown above), and then re-attempt to join the hearTV Wi-Fi.
If rebooting the hearTV device does not resolve the issue, try performing a factory reset.
On the top of the transmitter, is the green Wi-Fi light blinking rapidly, shown here?
A rapidly blinking Wi-Fi light indicates a defective unit. Please contact hearTV at 1-800-334-3620 for a replacement.
On the top of the transmitter, is the green Wi-Fi light on steadily (without blinking)?
Your phone might not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi, which is required for hearTV. Please check the list of 5 GHz phones.
If you are certain that your phone supports 5 GHz Wi-Fi, unplug power from the hearTV transmitter and plug it back in. Wait for the green light inside the hole on the top of the transmitter to begin flashing, and then check your phone's Wi-Fi settings again.

On the top of the transmitter, is the red power light on?
Perform a factory reset and then start over.
Check the connections from the power supply to the hearTV transmitter. If you are certain that the all power connections are good, please contact hearTV at 1-800-334-3620 for a replacement.
